NASA IS ‘ON THE VERGE’ OF ANNOUNCING ALIEN LIFE, SAYS ANONYMOUS
A new video released by an unofficial YouTube channel that claims to be affiliated with the
hacktivist collective Anonymous says that NASA is about to announce evidence of alien life.
The video includes excerpts from three articles that appeared on the Ancient Code conspiracy
website, which is registered in Croatia, according to the Daily Mail. The video comes after
the recent announcements of Kepler's NASA to discover hundreds of new potential exoplanet
candidates, 10 of which are believed to be Earth-sized and could be habitable and could favor
the hunt for alien life.
Anonymous's video focuses on Kepler's latest discovery and also features comments from NASA's
scientific mission director of administration Thomas Zurbuchen, who spoke during the hearing
of the U.S. Congress in April about various interesting discoveries and progress recently
made by the space agency.
"Taking into account all the different activities and missions that are specifically looking
for evidence of alien life, we are on the verge of making one of the most profound and
unprecedented discoveries in history," said Zurbuchen during the congressional hearing of the
commission on " Progress in the search for life ".
It is important to note, however, that although Zurbuchen's comments reflect his and the
scientific community's enthusiasm for advances in extraterrestrial life research, they do not
suggest NASA that it has potentially discovered any real evidence of intelligent alien life.
Instead, reports speculate that his comments point to various recent discoveries of exoplanets.
These include Trappist-1's "twin solar system", which suggests the possibility of the
existence of Earth-like habitable planets, which may harbor microbial extraterrestrial life.
Although the alleged claims of the anonymous video may seem far-fetched, the hacktivist
collective is not alone in assuming the existence of an alien life. Space tycoon Robert
Bigelow, whose firm Bigelow Aerospace produced expandable space habitats for the International
Space Station (ISS), said aliens may have already visited Earth and may even be living among
humans.
According to various astronomers, we could probably find evidence of alien life in the coming
decades. An astronomer recently said that we could uncover evidence of alien microbial life
within the next 10-15 years. However, the famous astrophysicist Neil DeGrasse Tyson said in
a recent Reddit AMA that the probability of discovering complex and intelligent
extraterrestrial life within the next 50 years is practically nothing.
Meanwhile, the United States government has also focused its attention on expanding its
space divisions within its armed forces in anticipation of the potential space war.
The new anonymous videos suggest how the hacktivist group seems to have moved away. The
group was once well known for launching massive campaigns related to prevailing
socio-cultural issues, including the key role in the Arab Spring. But according to experts,
the group seems to have lost its way.
"In my opinion, Anonymous, in general, is overpopulated by fanatical screenwriters who
barely know politics, much less hacking." Rik Ferguson, Europol's security expert and close
adviser, told Infosecurity Europe 2017.
